There was no exaggeration to the hype surrounding the mass crowds Dreamforce 2016 was expected to draw. In fact, this year’s sold out conference (hosted by Salesforce) drew 170,000 people to San Francisco for a week of non-stop action. Dreamforce 2016 connects businesses and employees with some of the most influential pioneers in business and technology today.
The first thing you see when stepping up to the Moscone Center is that this is not your typical “conference.” You enter the Dreamforce world by crossing under a rainbow archway that leads to a whimsical grassy field (which is typically a functioning street in the heart of San Francisco). There are outdoor meeting spaces, food venues, concert stages, television sets, shops and so much more. Keep in mind, this is all outside the official venues for the expos, keynote halls and other major event spaces.
The crew at Pitcher was more than ready to join the ranks of the most impressive companies at the world’s biggest technology conference. We hit the ground running before the expo even opened on Tuesday. As soon as the doors opened, crowds lined up to learn about Pitcher’s revolutionary platform.
One of our favorite moments of the day was running into the legendary Mark Cuban before he went off to “Dreampitch,” which Cuban was hosting along with fellow legendary investor, Chris Sacca and serial entrepreneur and artist, will.i.am. We were lucky to be able to catch Cuban on the floor of the expo.
